Yea, I said fatness. I think America is gross. I think we sanction gluttony and overeating like it's our right to eat the nastiest shit and expect to suffer no consequences. I don't understand how obesity is an epidemic, and no one wants to take responsibility for their own health and well being. I'll just eat Big Macs and Bloomin Onions (mmmm, a big lip smacking yum to that one) and the KFC monstrosity pictured above, but it's okay because I'm taking Lipitor for my cholesterol. Never mind the brewing heart disease and impending cardiac arrest, I've got Bayer in my purse.
Where is the accountability? All of the cost cutting mass production aside and the debate over trans fats, etc. Maybe it should start with self control in the form of portion control. Just because restaurants are pumping out overflowing plates of deliciously unhealthy shit, doesn't mean you have to eat it (and it's way too early for me to discuss poverty as it relates to fast food/obesity, but I get it.)
I guess all I'm asking for is personal accountability and when you look at the KFC Double Down you'll think, "might be nice to try, but it's probably best I don't eat one every single day." Instead of pointing a finger at McDonald's and blaming them for your troubles, no one is forcing you to supersize it.
